Maundy Thursday, not Monday Thursday, is a special day in the life of the Church. In the year Jesus died, the Passover Holiday for Jews happened to land on the Thursday before Jesus' crucifixion. Therefore, Jesus was together with his closest friends, the Disciples, for one last meal, the Passover meal. Jesus also modeled servant leadership by washing his disciples' feet during this meal.

We are offering an "Agape Feast" this year. This special meal is likely the kind of meal Jesus had with his disciples. We will remember Jesus' last night by entering a worship service in our Fellowship Hall, enjoying a potluck meal in the middle, and stripping of the altar. Bring a dish to pass. Contact the church office for more information.
